Help When something doesn't work
Common problems
Messages you may see and what to do about them.
“Certificate is locked” or “not unlocked”
The app doesn’t remember the PIN. It asks for it at startup and before sending. If you chose Later, click Certificate at the bottom left of the menu, enter the PIN and press Unlock.
“No certificate selected”
In Settings, choose a Source, select the certificate and press Save settings. See Certificate and unlocking.
The token isn’t detected
- Check that the token is plugged in.
- Check the path in Module. It must point to your token’s PKCS#11 library. If the library doesn’t exist, install OpenSC or the manufacturer’s driver.
- Errors the token returns appear in a message after Find certificates.
The certificate isn’t valid
If Valid says “NO” after unlocking, the certificate has expired or isn’t valid yet. Renew it with the issuer.
UJP doesn’t recognise the certificate
UJP compares the certificate’s serial number with the one registered with it. Try a different Serial number format (HEX, hex or decimal). If that doesn’t help, enter the serial number exactly as UJP has it in Manual serial number. After each change, press Save settings and unlock again.
The clock doesn’t match
The bottom left shows how many seconds your clock differs from the UJP clock. The app accounts for the difference when sending. If the difference is large, turn on automatic time on your computer.
Validation errors
See the list in Issuing a new document. Usually a number, an item description or a tax indicator is missing, or Calculate wasn’t pressed.
UJP rejects the seller or buyer
The data must match the register. Press Fill from my EDB or Fill from register again and don’t change the data by hand.
I lost a document I was writing
Check Drafts: documents saved with Save draft or Send later are there. If it isn’t, save it before you leave the screen next time. Sent documents aren’t lost: they’re always in Outgoing.
